Cees Diks is Professor of Data Analysis and Economic Statistics. He studied theoretical physics in Utrecht and obtained his PhD in mathematics from Leiden University. He is the local (UvA) coordinator for the EPOC international training network, an international network of PhD students working on environmental and climate-related research topics. He also acts as the Programme Director for the faculty's newly-founded master in Data Science and Business Analytics.
