The keynote was delivered by Nobel Prize winner Oliver Hart (Harvard University). Professor Hart, awarded the Nobel Prize in 2016, discussed how the financial sector faces a striking lack of democratic input and how shareholders can be more actively involved in sustainable investment decisions.

A second keynote was given by Professor Laura Starks (The University of Texas at Austin), a leading scholar in sustainable finance who delivered the influential Presidential Address on this topic at the 2023 American Finance Association.
