After the inaugural conference this year at the Royal Industrieele Groote Club in Amsterdam, RCSII is pleased to announce the Second Amsterdam Sustainable Finance Conference, taking place on May 8, 2026. This edition focuses on Investor Democracy.
We are proud to share that the keynote will be delivered by Nobel Prize winner Oliver Hart (Harvard University). Professor Hart, awarded the Nobel Prize in 2016, will discuss how the financial sector faces a striking lack of democratic input and how shareholders can be more actively involved in sustainable investment decisions.

A second keynote will be given by Professor Laura Starks (The University of Texas at Austin), a leading scholar in sustainable finance who delivered the influential Presidential Address on this topic at the 2023 American Finance Association.
